She is the founder and former Executive Director of the Crossroads School in New York and New England.
Helen has done extensive work in the field of Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis, co-authoring and presenting at numerous conferences, nationally and internationally. She has consulted for schools in the United States, Ireland, Brazil and China. In addition, she produced the training video series "Bridges" which has helped families and educators throughout the world. She recently was also the Clinical Director of PAAL, assistant director at the McCarton Upper School in Manhattan, adjunct lecturer at The Sage Colleges, and adjunct lecturer for Brooklyn College. Currently, Ms. Bloomer is the President for Helen Bloomer and Associates Consultation, Inc.
Helen had been a member of the executive board for the New York State Association for Behavior Analysis (NYSABA) for approximately 15 years. She previously has served in many positions including President, Member at Large, etc. Helen was a peer reviewer for the New York State Department of Health clinical practice guidelines for Autism/Pervasive Developmental Disorders.

Kassy Vorce, co-founder and BCBA of Branches Spectrum of Opportunities (BSO) as well as co-founder and Clinical Director of Branches School of the Berkshires, is a Massachusetts licensed Board Certified Behavior Analyst, who initially received her training at Crossroads School under the direction of Helen Bloomer in 2004.
Kassy has spent her professional career teaching individuals with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder across all age groups from 2 years of age through adulthood. She has trained caregivers/parents and staff various strategies of Applied Behavior Analysis as well as the implementation of various behavior intervention plans and data recording. Kassy has worked in positions including: 1:1 teacher, ABA Counselor, ABA Specialist, Specialty Service provider, and Behavior Analyst. Kassy has also worked in a variety of environments including: public and center-based schools, community, summer camps, and individuals’ homes. She has much experience with teaching in both individual instruction (Discrete Trial Training) and naturalistic strategies. Kassy has developed Behavior Intervention Plans, staff/parent training procedures, data systems, and in the development of Individual Educational Plans.
Kassy completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Master’s Degree of Education in Foundations in Behavior Analysis.
She is the mother to twin girls, one who has a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
